Scholarship / Bursary Awards
Every year, the Coombs Farmers' Institute gives two awards, of $1,000.00 each, to students who are residents of School District #69 and are proceeding to a post-secondary education institution for agriculture-related studies.

Additional Criteria
Applications should be in the form of a letter addressed to the Coombs Farmers' Institute detailing the applicant's educational goals and qualifications.
For Secondary School students, applications must be submitted by April 7th, no later than 3:30pm to the scholarship committee of the individual's school, who will then forward the application to the Coombs Farmers' Institute.
For Post-secondary School students, applications must be submitted via mail by April 7th, directly to the Coombs Farmers' Institute, attention "Scholarship Committee".
Up to two scholarships will be awarded annually. In the event that there are no suitable applicants for the award in any given year, the sponsors of the scholarship may cancel the scholarship for the year under review.
How to Access
The recipient of the scholarship must advise the sponsors of the scholarship when s/he registers at a post-secondary institution. Arrangements will then be made to have the amount of the scholarship forwarded to the Registrar of the institution.
The student must claim the scholarship within two years of receiving the award.

- Citizenship and contribution to school and/or community affairs (preference will be given to students who have contributed to the agricultural community)
- Scholastic achievement or monetary need
